Built to solve a real headache.
Crafted for dental practices.
Dev8 Labs started as a personal project to remove hours of weekly manual repetitive work of managing reviews for our family businesses. Today, we manage reviews for UK dental clinics as a complete, done-for-you service with full compliance.
Where this started: solving our own family business problem
This project began out of a genuine day-to-day frustration. When helping run local family businesses, one operational hurdle kept eating into valuable working hours: managing Google reviews.
Between manually sending out review requests, tracking who responded, drafting polite replies, and addressing feedback, the entire process was eating up 4 to 6 hours every single week. For a small team already running reception and customer care, keeping up with that manual routine was an exhausting operational drain.
Existing review platforms on the market treated review management as a one-size-fits-all problem. Most tools generated cookie-cutter replies that felt cold, robotic, and disconnected from a practice's actual brand voice. A warm, community-focused family clinic speaks very differently from a private cosmetic practice, yet off-the-shelf software treated every review with the same sterile, copy-paste replies. Reception teams were constantly having to rewrite drafts just to make them sound human.
Instead of relying on rigid automated bots, we built an agile system centered on authentic tone and regulatory compliance. We run it today as a hands-off, done-for-you service for busy clinics, while refining the exact same system into an on-the-go tool that practice teams can use anywhere, anytime.
Why UK dental clinics need a specialised approach
Reputation management for dental practices is fundamentally different from retail or hospitality. In healthcare, a single careless public reply can breach regulations.
GDC confidentiality rules
Under GDC Standards (Principles 4 and 5), practices must never disclose clinical details, confirm patient appointments, or share medical history in public replies, even if a reviewer mentions their own treatment.
Reception time is at a premium
Dental receptionists and practice managers juggle phone calls, patient check-ins, and treatment scheduling. Asking them to craft nuanced, legally compliant review replies each day is inefficient.
How we work today and where we are heading
We believe in complete clarity about how our service runs today and what we are building for the future.
100% Done-for-you system
For our dental practice clients right now, Dev8 Labs operates as a full-service, hands-off partner. You do not need to log into software, fiddle with settings, or write drafts.
- 24/7 monitoring of your Google Business Profile
- GDC-compliant responses drafted and published for you
- Monthly reporting on profile growth and ratings
The on-the-go client system
Internally, our operations team already relies on our proprietary on-the-go workflow tool to review, triage, and manage replies rapidly from any device.
We plan to expand this into a client-facing on-the-go system. Practice managers who want direct, mobile access will be able to review feedback, monitor replies, or trigger patient review invitations on the go.
- Mobile-friendly review oversight and performance tracking
- Instant review invitation dispatch on the go
- Full policy compliance built into every interface
Built to protect your clinic's reputation
Whether through our done-for-you service or our future on-the-go tools, we use strictly legitimate, safe methods to keep your Google listing protected and compliant.
Google profile protection
We manage your listing using strictly legitimate, approved methods that keep your practice safe. No risky shortcuts, no fake reviews, and zero automated manipulation that could trigger profile flags or suspensions.
No review gating (DMCC Act)
The UK Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act prohibits filtering or blocking negative feedback. We invite authentic patient reviews openly without gating, keeping your clinic compliant with the CMA.
GDC patient confidentiality
Every response is carefully framed so no patient health information or treatment details are ever acknowledged or exposed publicly, meeting GDC Standards 4 and 5.
Zero direct PMS access
We never connect to or access your internal patient management software (such as Dentally or Software of Excellence). Patient data stays entirely within your practice walls.
What guides our work
Save real time
We measure success by hours saved for your practice team each month, not by vanity dashboard metrics.
Human quality check
Software assists with tracking and drafting, but human eyes review every response before publishing.
Transparent operation
Clear pricing, no lock-in contracts, 30 days notice to cancel, and complete openness about how we work.
